I don't know why but I think you're justifying not taking on your losses. "It's not real yet, so it doesn't affect me," really?

Excellent reading! It made me reevaluate how I am measuring the performance of my system. Thank you for sharing, John.

Paper gain is a nice way to say you can still lose everything.

And that's exactly why risk control can't depend on emotions or hope. The price won't forgive you for dreaming.

In my case, until I withdraw the money to my bank account, I don't believe anything, neither the profit nor the system.

Very good article, although I miss examples with small accounts. Not everyone operates with $10,000 as if nothing.

Good observation. But the principles are the same for a $100 or $100,000 account. Leverage does not distinguish size, it only punishes mishandling.

Tremendous topic for debate. Share traders live quietly with negative floaters. In Forex, that leaves you out in two hours.

There are people who have $500 floating and are already planning to buy a car. That’s the mindset that needs to be changed.

I have operated futures and Forex. And I confirm what I said: in those markets there is no profit on paper. The market does not give you a chance to dream.
