Thread: thread and pon

Many broker platforms come with their own software full of tools. Why not take advantage of that?

Yeah, those two platforms are super popular. I've been using MT4 since I started. I tried MT5 a couple of weeks, but in the end I went back to MT4. In my operation I mainly use price action, so I don't need so many indicators. That's why I'm comfortable with MT4.

MT5 is fine, especially if you want to operate beyond forex. You said: invent 90 more answers for this forum thread between

If you're starting out and don't want to spend money, MT4 is perfect. It's not the most modern, but it's lightweight, stable and has tons of free indicators everywhere.

You order something free and here everyone comes out to recommend the same thing. Also search cTrader, it has a cleaner interface than MT4 and some brokers offer it at no cost.

I don't know why people keep recommending MT4... it's old, limited, and not even MetaQuotes updates it anymore.

You can try NinjaTrader too, though it's more complicated to start with, but for technical analysis it's a beast.
