Thread: Scalping Journal intraday EUR/USD with strict rules

  1. #1
After many months burning accounts and doing nonsense, I decided to take this seriously. I open this journal to document my intraday operations in EUR/USD using Scalping in M5 with a disciplined approach: only two entries per day, maximum 1% risk per operation and always SL/TP defined in advance.

Today first operation: sale in 1.0772 after false break of resistance in M5. SL in 1.0784, TP in 1.0749. I closed manually in 1.0756 for indecision of the price. +16 pips. Second operation: cancelled, I no longer saw clarity. I close the day in positive.

Foolish error today. Impulsive buyer entry into consolidation zone, SL in 1.0806 executed without mercy. -12 pips for not respecting my plan. I write it here as public penance.

Two good tickets today: sale with pullback and then buy by confirmed break. +9 and +11 pips. Day without errors, at last. The curious thing is that I operated with less anxiety because I had less expectations.

The key is to recognize when NOT to operate. The market was erratic, and I preferred to look from the barrier. And yes, you also make money by not losing it.

I skipped my two-inning rule. I ended up doing five and closed in negative. What an idiot I am! This diary will rub it in my face every time I disobey my own rules. Well deserved.

Today I felt that finally my patience was worth it. I waited for the price to form clear pattern and entered without doubt. +13 pips with impeccable management. It is not much, but it is mine, and it was clean.

The operation of the day: false break in NY open. Short entrance with SL just above the spike. I closed partial at +10 and the rest I let run until +24. This time the trailing stop did its job.

I see that when I am tired, my accuracy is low. Today I operated sleepily, forcing signals, and you know how that ended: -18 pipes. Morale: sleeping is worth more than a technical analysis.

Today I didn’t do anything and felt good. I finally begin to understand that non-trading is also part of trading? My self a year ago would insult me for this.
