Thread: Real Journal of a Small Account Trader Looking for Consistency

It's refreshing to read a diary of someone who's not selling smoke.

Do you have any rules for the days when you won't operate? Because sometimes not trading is also a profitable decision.

Good question. I don’t have a fixed rule, but if I see that the market is lateral or with high fundamental uncertainty, I don’t go in. It costs me, but I learned that forcing trades leads to mistakes. Today, for example, I didn’t operate. I’ve been checking backtests instead of operating. I want to refine my entry more with volume.

Interesting. I also use volume but in M5. Did you try to see the correlation with indexes to filter operations in USD?

I follow your diary with interest. Are you thinking of incorporating some trailing stop or is everything SL/TP fixed?

  6. #26
I use SL and TP fixed for now, but I'm considering trailing for tickets that gain strong momentum. Although I'm afraid I'll get out early. I'm testing demo a trailing based on market structure, not percentage. If I see it solid, I incorporate it.

Structural trailing can give you good results, but you have to define very well the minor support/resistance points.

Thank you for sharing all this. You’re motivating me to open my own diary, although I’m still in demo.

Are you going to look for anchoring in the future or are you going to grow this account little by little?

Good job. The market rewards patience. I followed your approach that sooner or later pays off.
