Thread: My EUR/CHF trading journal: a forgotten strategy?

  1. #1
Hello everyone, I start this diary with the intention of documenting my experience operating exclusively the EUR/CHF pair. I know it is not the favorite crossover of most, but I think it can offer interesting opportunities because of its relatively stable nature. I hope this journal serves to learn together and show if this pair deserves more attention.

Today I opened my first short position at 0.9652. I took it when I saw a lateral accumulation with rejection in the area of 0.9670, but my stop is adjusted at 0.9680. Initial goal: 0.9615. The idea is to surf the small ranges that this pair usually forms.

Do you really think EUR/CHF has enough volatility for a diary? I find it more boring than watching grass grow.

I follow your diary with interest, I find it an interesting bet. I always wanted to try less popular pairs.

Thanks for the feedback. Stability is just what I'm looking for to practice risk management and discipline. I'm not looking for adrenaline, I'm looking for consistency.

Haha, consistency they say... with a couple moving 10 pips a day, what do you expect to accomplish?

Today my TP was reached in 0.9615. +37 pips with risk 1% in the account. I am happy with the result and especially with having followed the plan.

Good job, how do you decide your key areas in such a slow pair?

I use historical levels of support and resistance in H4 and H1, in addition to price behavior around round figures like 0.9600 and 0.9700.

What surprises me most is your patience. I'd go crazy waiting for something to happen.
