Interesting what they say. Sometimes I feel like the only fool who stays looking at 1-minute candles that do nothing. Have any of you tried mixing scalping with minor news coming out of Asia, such as Australia’s employment data or Bank of Japan’s communiqués?
Yeah, but be careful, that news can generate big candles, yes, but many times without continuity, you come in with inflated spread and you come out with the price flying against you.
Sometimes it seems that the Asian session is designed to make us bored and make mistakes. I do observe, not operate.
I do scalping with bots during Asia. They work better than humans because they do not despair waiting for a breakout that never arrives.
The Asian session gives me peace. I don’t do aggressive scalping, but soft microtrends with tight trailing stops. The secret is not to force operations.
Scalping in Asia is like fishing in a puddle. You might pull something out, but it's pure miracle. You better wait for London or NY and come in hard.
I prefer to take Asian as an analysis session. I see how the pairs are reacting and whether there is accumulation or distribution to prepare tickets in London.
I did scalping for a whole month only in Asia. Result: count to zero. Sometimes it is not a matter of strategy, but of knowing when NOT to operate.
Good point. I use Asian to test demo systems. If a system survives Asia, it probably works in more liquid sessions.
According to many of you: Scalping in Asia is not for anyone. But if you have surgical precision and good risk management, you can survive.
